Unraveling the Metabolite Signature of Endophytic Bacillus velezensis Strain Showing Defense Response towards Fusarium oxysporum

چکیده
Seedling blight, caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum, significantly lowers rice production globally. Earlier reports have opined that endophytic bacteria strains could be possible biocontrol agents, but mechanistic actions involved are still unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to isolate with high inhibitory activity and elucidate its mechanisms for inducing resistance metabolomics. The results showed mdj-36 had strongest in vitro pathogen inhibition of F. while mdj-34 displayed lowest identified as Bacillus velezensis strains. Metabolomic analyses demonstrated B. growth medium produce higher organic acids, terpenes, diterpene than mdj-34. Further investigation revealed ‘secondary bile acid biosynthesis’ ‘glycerophospholipid metabolism’ pathways played essential roles defense response towards oxysporum. This study’s findings provide a credible theoretical basis use strain against seedling blight.

متن کاملComplete Genome Sequence of the Endophytic Biocontrol Strain Bacillus velezensis CC09
Bacillus velezensis is a heterotypic synonym of B. methylotrophicus, B. amyloliquefaciens subsp. plantarum, and Bacillus oryzicola, and has been used to control plant fungal diseases. In order to fully understand the genetic basis of antimicrobial capacities, we did a complete genome sequencing of the endophytic B. velezensis strain CC09. Genes tightly associated with biocontrol ability, includ...
متن کاملWhole-Genome Shotgun Sequence of Bacillus mojavensis Strain RRC101, an Endophytic Bacterium Antagonistic to the Mycotoxigenic Endophytic Fungus Fusarium verticillioides
Here, we report the whole-genome shotgun sequence of Bacillus mojavensis strain RRC101, isolated from a maize kernel. This strain is antagonistic to the mycotoxigenic plant pathogen Fusarium verticillioides and grows within maize tissue, suggesting potential as an endophytic biocontrol agent.

An endophytic fungus, Fusarium sp. was isolated from yew bark of eastern Himalaya. Ethyl acetate extract from its fermentation broth displayed considerable antimicrobial activity against three Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus epidermidis), three Gram-negative bacteria (Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli and Shigella flexneri) and two patho...
متن کاملChemical Communication between the Endophytic Fungus Paraconiothyrium Variabile and the Phytopathogen Fusarium oxysporum
Paraconiothyrium variabile, one of the specific endophytic fungi isolated from the host plant Cephalotaxus harringtonia, possesses the faculty to inhibit the growth of common phytopathogens, thus suggesting a role in its host protection. A strong antagonism between the endophyte P. variabile and Fusarium oxysporum was observed and studied using optic and electronic microscopies. A disorganizati...
